Healthier Hair Lightening: Why I Use Redken Color Gel Oils Instead of Traditional Bleach

When it comes to safely lightening and pre-lightening hair, one of the most important steps is choosing the right products. I prefer to avoid using traditional lighteners whenever possible, especially when I’m looking to enhance the ends. Instead, I rely on Redken Color Gel Oils Clear. When it comes to the developer, my choice between 20 volume and 30 volume depends on the amount of lift I desire. For minimal brightening at the ends, I typically opt for 20 volume, while for a bit more lift and to address any brassy tones, I use the 30-volume option. The 30-volume Color Gel Oils is a permanent ammonia-free formulation that contains apricot oils, which not only hydrates the hair but also helps maintain the health of the scalp. The benefits of apricot oil are largely due to its rich content of fatty acids, making it an excellent choice for hair care.

As a stylist, my priority is not just creating gorgeous color but also maintaining hair health. Using Redken Color Gel Oils and the right developer strength allows me to achieve luminous, multi-dimensional color without the harsh effects of traditional bleach.
