OWAY—short for Organic Way—is an Italian professional hair and beauty brand with a philosophy that reaches beyond the salon chair. Its approach, called Agricosmetica®, brings together professional performance and a deep respect for the natural world. The story begins at Ortofficina, OWAY’s biodynamic farm near Bologna, where plants are grown with care for the soil and local ecosystem. Botanical, organic, biodynamic, and upcycled ingredients inform its formulas, while glass and aluminum packaging reflects a thoughtful effort to move beyond disposable plastic.

For me, OWAY is a way to create beautiful hair while being more intentional about what touches it. I chose it after I began looking for a better salon environment for myself, and today I use OWAY exclusively for my professional color and hair care. Every formula, shade, and service still has to earn its place through results: shine, softness, dimension, and hair that feels cared for. Luxury is part of the experience, but the heart of it is thoughtful artistry, beautiful performance, and a more considered relationship with hair and the planet.

And yes, many of my blonde clients are lovingly “in recovery.” We joke that everyone wants to be blonde, even when nature made them brunette. Blonde can be beautiful, but lightening asks a lot of the hair, so I plan each transformation carefully, work with the hair’s history, and choose a pace and home-care routine that support its condition. My goal is luminous, flowing hair without pushing it past what it can handle. When someone’s hair needs a break, we can talk through restorative care and, when appropriate, carefully planned extensions as part of the journey—not a substitute for healthy-hair decisions.
