OWAY’s color system includes distinct professional services for different goals. HNECTAR is OWAY’s demi-permanent color infusion: a radiant, conditioning color service for tone, shine, and bright camouflage coverage. HCOLOR is the ammonia-free permanent color line, designed for lasting color and gray coverage. They are different tools, and I choose between them based on your hair history, starting color, gray percentage, and the finish you want.
When you want dimensional highlights or balayage, I may combine OWAY color with Hbleach and a custom toner. Your color plan can include more than one step, but every step has a reason.
HNECTAR · DEMI-PERMANENT
A luminous color infusion with a softer feel.
HNECTAR is a demi-permanent color infusion—not OWAY’s permanent color. OWAY describes it as a beautifying infusion with integrated hair lifting and bright camouflage coverage. It is ammonia-free, and its formula is also listed as free from PPD, resorcinol, synthetic fragrance, petrolatum, alcohol, and parabens/MIT. Botanical actives include biodynamic Sulla and organic and biodynamic Acacia extracts.
I reach for HNECTAR when the goal calls for a luminous refresh, tonal refinement, softness and shine, or blended gray camouflage. It can be a beautiful option between permanent color appointments or when we want to add tone and dimension without choosing a permanent color service. Your formula and result depend on your starting canvas and the OWAY application plan I select.
HCOLOR · PERMANENT
Lasting color and confident gray coverage.
HCOLOR is OWAY’s ammonia-free permanent color line. OWAY highlights its radiance, range of tonal reflections, and 100% gray coverage. Its permanent color system is designed for clients who want a lasting shift, root coverage, or a more complete gray-coverage result.
Permanent color is not interchangeable with HNECTAR. I’ll help you choose based on how much coverage you want, how often you want to maintain your color, whether your goal is to deepen or brighten, and what your previous color history allows. A consultation gives us room to talk through all of that before we begin.

OWAY’s color philosophy brings together professional color performance, botanical ingredients, and a more considered approach to sourcing and packaging. Formulas across the color system are not identical, so I look at the specific product and service rather than making a blanket claim about every formula. I use OWAY exclusively because it lets me pair the color result with a thoughtful salon experience and a color-care routine I know well.
Hair color is still a chemical service; “botanical” does not mean chemical-free or damage-free. I work with your hair’s condition and history, choose a realistic plan, and explain the maintenance your color will need. My goal is beautiful color that feels personal, dimensional, and cared for.
